Built on Trust. Backed by Experience.
Rooted in Hard Work.

The worker is holding a yellow strap attached to a large yellow piece of machinery suspended above on chains. The tunnel walls are rocky and muddy, with a large yellow pipe running parallel to the ceiling.

Busto’s Heavy Equipment Repair was founded in 2024 by Tony Bustamante — a lifelong mechanic with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience working on the machines that keep industries moving. Born and raised in Susanville, CA, Tony grew up around heavy iron. His father was a Caterpillar mechanic who passed down not just his tools, but a deep respect for the trade.

After high school, Tony moved to Reno and joined Caterpillar’s prestigious ThinkBIG program in Mesa, Arizona. That training launched a career that would take him across job sites and shop floors, from construction and logging to farming and mining. Whether it was rebuilding massive haul trucks or wrenching in tough field conditions, Tony built a reputation for doing the job right the first time.

In 2022, Tony and his wife returned to Susanville to raise their daughters in a close-knit community and pursue a long-held dream, owning and operating his own service truck. Today, Tony runs the tools while his wife manages the business, making Busto’s a truly family-run operation.

At Busto’s Heavy Equipment Repair, we understand what’s on the line when your equipment goes down. That’s why we’re committed to fast, reliable service that keeps your machines — and your business — moving forward.
